If I could listen to only one station on Pandora for the next year, it would be Five Finger Death Punch (5FDP?). I feel like such a tomboy because of this! I really have tried listening to pop music, I swear! I used to be the BIGGEST Eminem fan and I could rap his entire Marshall Mathers LP, and I STILL love Eminem. But, nowadays I’m a rock listener. However, if it’s summertime, I add in a little Florida Georgia Line and some summer tunes like Margaritaville jams. But, for the most part, I’m jammin’ out while cooking to 5FDP…or pumping iron. I can’t really blast it in the car with Bane, but I do it whenever else I get the chance. It really makes for a very intense workout if you turn this on and turn it up! I just LOVE their music — passionate, and the melodies in their songs are unlike other rock music I’ve heard. I also appreciate the meaning in their songs — mostly emotional, a little political and religious.

I didn’t realize the meaning of this song was more political/opinion based, I actually thought they were referring to a girlfriend or something (why did I think that?). But, it was interesting to read this about the song meaning…

From Wikipedia: “The song is about people being too attached to opinions they’ve formed on limited amounts of information. Guitarist Zoltan Bathory explained: “It’s about seemingly irresolvable differences. It’s valid in just about any setting: politics, religion, relationships… Everything is ‘only an opinion’ based on limited information, yet people sometimes get attached to their point of views to the extreme… in fact, to the point they would launch wars over them.”
